The Boswell tartan colours come Colonel W P Boswell of Toberchurn’s Coat of Arms.
This is a restricted tartan and permission would be needed to weave it. As this is the case, Boswells can also wear the Tweedside, Ayrshire, or Fife District tartans, which reflect the areas the clan are from.
